1. What CORENZA-C Is and What It Is Used For
CORENZA-C belongs to the group of medicines used for the common cold, including nasal decongestants and antihistamines.
CORENZA-C provides relief from symptoms of colds and flu, including:

2. What You Need to Know Before You Take CORENZA-C
Do Not Take CORENZA-C

Warnings and Precautions
Special care is needed with CORENZA-C in several situations.
A doctor should be consulted before giving CORENZA-C to children or teenagers with chickenpox or influenza, due to the risk of Reye’s syndrome associated with aspirin.
Caution is also needed if you have:

CORENZA-C should be stopped several days before scheduled surgery, because aspirin can increase bleeding time.
Chronic use of aspirin in elderly patients should be avoided because of the increased risk of gastric bleeding.
If gastrointestinal bleeding or ulceration occurs, treatment with CORENZA-C should be stopped. Warning signs may include stomach pain, discomfort, vomiting blood, or passing dark stools.
Serious Skin and Hypersensitivity Reactions
Drug Reaction with Eosinophilia and Systemic Symptoms, also called DRESS, has been reported in patients taking NSAIDs such as CORENZA-C.
This reaction may affect the skin, blood, and internal organs. It may be life-threatening or fatal.
Possible signs include:

If signs or symptoms of DRESS occur, stop taking CORENZA-C and see a doctor immediately.
Pregnancy Warning
Tell your doctor or healthcare provider if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant.
Taking NSAIDs such as aspirin in CORENZA-C at around 20 weeks of pregnancy or later may harm the unborn baby.
If NSAID treatment is needed for more than two days between 20 and 30 weeks of pregnancy, a healthcare provider may need to monitor the amount of fluid around the baby.
CORENZA-C should not be taken at around 30 weeks of pregnancy or later.
Other Medicines and CORENZA-C
Always tell your healthcare provider if you are taking any other medicine, including complementary or traditional medicines.

CORENZA-C and Laboratory Tests
Vitamin C in CORENZA-C may interfere with laboratory tests and may cause falsely elevated or false negative results.
CORENZA-C With Food, Drink and Alcohol
CORENZA-C should be taken with food to reduce stomach irritation.
CORENZA-C should not be taken with alcohol, because alcohol may increase side effects and make you feel drowsy.
Pregnancy, Breastfeeding and Fertility
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor, pharmacist, or healthcare provider for advice before taking CORENZA-C.
NSAIDs such as aspirin may harm the unborn baby when used at around 20 weeks of pregnancy or later. CORENZA-C should not be used around 30 weeks of pregnancy or later.
Driving and Using Machines
CORENZA-C may cause drowsiness and impaired concentration.
These effects may be made worse by alcohol or other medicines that depress the central nervous system.
Patients should avoid driving, using machines, or performing tasks requiring alertness until they know how CORENZA-C affects them.
CORENZA-C Contains Sodium
Each effervescent tablet contains 288,11 mg sodium.
This is equivalent to 14,4 % of the recommended maximum daily dietary intake of sodium for an adult.
3. How to Take CORENZA-C
Do not share medicines prescribed for you with another person.
Always take CORENZA-C exactly as described in the leaflet or as directed by a doctor, pharmacist, or nurse.

Method of Use
Drop the tablet into half a glass of cold water. The tablet dissolves quickly and produces an effervescent drink.
Drink the mixture as soon as the effervescing has stopped.
Use the lowest effective dose.
Do not use CORENZA-C for more than 10 days without consulting a doctor.
If You Take More CORENZA-C Than You Should

5. How to Store CORENZA-C
Store all medicines out of reach of children.
Store CORENZA-C in a cool place at or below 25 °C.
Protect from moisture.
Do not store in a bathroom.
Store in the original container.
Do not use after the expiry date stated on the label.
Return unused medicine to your pharmacist.
Do not dispose of unused medicine in drains or sewerage systems, including toilets.

What CORENZA-C Looks Like and Contents of the Pack
CORENZA-C is a white, cylindrical effervescent tablet with flat faces.
The tablets are packed in aluminium tubes with non-toxic inner coatings and a polyethylene plug containing a desiccant.
Each aluminium tube contains either 10 tablets or 20 tablets.
